Instrument Repair Programme

The instrument repair programme is another important events of NITUB. User scientists
are not capable of repairing scientific instruments in most of the cases. So, to keep the instruments running, NITUB started its Instrument Repair Programme from the year 1996. So far NITUB has repaired 1383 scientific instruments of different organizations throughout Bangladesh (Details are given in [Table 2]).Scientific Instruments Repaired by NITUB in 2012 to 2015 (Details are given in [Table 5])

Request Form
By repairing large number of instruments NITUB has earned reputation and scientists now feel more confident to take services from NITUB. Usually the concerned scientist sends request on a prescribed form for instrument repair [Request form enclosed] and technical expert(s) of NITUB goes to the institution to find the fault of the particular instrument.

Request FORM

In many cases the instrument is repaired on the spot, otherwise the technical expert(s) finds out if any spare parts will be required. If the spare part(s) costs more than Tk.1000/- then the concerned institution is requested to procure the spare parts. NITUB expert then goes back and fixes the instrument when the spare part(s)is available. Lists of institutions served and type of instruments repaired are given in [Table 3]  and [Table 4].
