Proposed activities of NITUB for 2026

Training Programmes/ Workshop

NITUB plans to organize the following programmes in 2026

1.Training programme use, maintenance, application and trouble-shooting of AAS / ICPMS is scheduled on 06 – 11 June 2026 at the Central Analytical and Research Facilities (CARF), BCSIR Dhaka Laboratories, Dr.  Qudrat-I-Khuda Road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1205.

2. Training programme on Common Medical Equipment is proposed to be held at BUHS (Bangladesh University of Health Sciences) in the month September 2026. Professor Begum Rokeya would be the Convener of the training programme.

3. Training programme on High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) would be organized at the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, in the month of December 2026.

Seminar/ lecture on Advancement of instrumental techniques

  1. The 3rd lecture of the series, title as ‘Electrochemistry Beyond Boundaries: From Fundamentals to Frontier Technologies’’ will be delivered by Prof. Md. Mominul Islam, Department of Chemistry, DU, on 02 May 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at CARS, DU.
  2. The 4th lecture on ‘Nanotechnology’. NITUB would request Prof. Dr. Abu Bin Hasan Susan, of Department of Chemistry, DU to deliver the lecture.

Instrument Repair Programme

  • The instrument repair programme of NITUB will be conducted throughout the year
  • Fabrication of low cost equipment will continue.

Training of the technical experts

  1. Training of instrument engineers of NITUB in an advanced laboratory abroad for couple of weeks to up-date their knowledge. In the year 2026, NITUB will arrange higher training in an advanced laboratory for three / four weeks for one of its full time engineers.

Installation of Scientific Equipment

  1. Technical experts of NITUB will install scientific equipment if NITUB gets requests.

Preparation of instruction manual

  1. NITUB used to post all its activities in its website (www.nitub.org). NITUB has planned to publish two manual book on “Gas Chromatography and Liquid Chromatography”, LABORATORY SAFETY A-Z. NITUB has also plan to update its profile this year.
