User scientists used to request skilled technical personnel to repair their non-functioning scientific equipment. It takes rather long time and also some institutions do not have budget for maintenance of non-functioning equipment. So, to keep the instruments running, NITUB started its Instrument Repair Programme from the year 1996. So far NITUB has repaired <strong>2,262 (Two thousand two hundred sixty two)<\/strong> scientific instruments of different organizations throughout Bangladesh. Usually the concerned scientist sends request on a prescribed form for instrument repair [Request form enclosed] programme and technical expert(s) of NITUB go to the institution, asking for service, and repair the equipment\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5c73a48 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5c73a48\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In many cases the instrument is repaired on the spot, otherwise the technical expert(s) finds out if any spare parts will be required. If the spare part(s) costs more than Tk.1000\/- then the concerned institution is requested to procure the spare parts. In response to these requests NITUB technicians installed a number of scientific instrument such as AAS, HPLC, IR, X-ray and GC of different organizations.The engineers &amp;amp; technical experts of NITUB have also trained technical personnel and user scientists of the organizations where the instruments were installed so that they can use the instrument effectively<\/p><p>Scientists\/technical personnel may contact NITUB office or may also directly contact instrument engineers of NITUB, Mr. Md.
